Sister Ann McKenna
Entered: September 8, 1959 – Cumberland, Rhode Island
Current Ministry: Local Coordinator
I did not realize it on September 8, 1959, but my entrance into the Mercy Community was the best decision of my life. That decision has afforded me the opportunity to grow spiritually as well as to minister not only in Rhode Island but also in Belize, Honduras, Peru and Belgium. That decision in 1959 also helped me develop my understanding of God, Church and current thought on important civic issues as seen through the lens of Mercy spirituality. It has also given me the opportunity to be in a community of women who are faithful to the Gospel and who are risk takers in thought and practice. Today, as local coordinator, I am blessed, to be in touch with Mercy women in their advancing years who have lived lives of incredible service. It is all a blessing!
