Born in Ballinasloe, County Galway Ireland. Educated by the Sisters of Mercy at Saint Joseph's Primary School as far as Grade 6. Attended Saint Mary's High School and received honors Enter Certificate and an honors Leaving Certificate. Received permission to teach Kindergarten through grade 3. Also taught knitting, sewing, music and art to all grades. Prepared students for First Communion and Confirmation.  Joined the Sisters of Mercy at Saint Joseph's Convent in Tullamore, County Offaly.  As a Junior Professed, attended Carysfort Teacher Training College run by the Sisters of Baggot Street, Dublin, and graduated with honors. After graduation taught at Saint Joseph's Primary School in Tullamore.  Also taught school band, and the choir with nurses, doctors and staff at the Sacred Heart Hospital. In 1975 took a sabbatical and came to Manchester, New Hampshire, and taught kindergarten with Sister Gloria Morin for 35 years. After retirement, continues to teach art and pottery to grades 3-6.  Continues to paint watercolors and acrylics. Continues with the love of her life: pottery.
