Reflecting on my ministry in education as a Sister of Mercy, I realized it has been filled with blessings. My students taught me patience as they struggled to succeed. Through them, I grew more aware of the social and economic situations that handicapped some students as they persevered in a world that is so unfair to them.

Working with young people, I was blessed with joy, hope and faith in God.
