West Midwest

Marilyn Wallace, RSM

60-year-Jubilarian

Entered: September 8, 1960

Current Ministry: Ministry of Prayer

Motto: Je ferai L'univers Nouveau. (I Am Making the Universe New.)

My 60 years of religious life has been like the pilgrimage of a bird in Springtime. The community gave me the education to carry out my ministry; and they pushed me out of the nest toward 30 years of teaching. When finally, I learned to fly on my own, I spent hours singing and searching for the truth. As Emily Dickinson put it, “Hope is a thing with feathers…” a determined bird, “who sings and never stops at all because he holds in his heart the hope that his pilgrimage will one day lead him to Eternal Life.”
