West Midwest

Mary Amadea Collins, RSM

Entered: September 8, 1945

Current Ministry: Ministry of Prayer

Motto: All For Thee My Jesus.

After my first year of high school I wanted to enter the Sisters of Mercy, but being only 15 years of age, I was advised to wait. However, I entered the Sisters of Mercy a few months after I turned 16.

After completing formation I began my teaching career in 1948. I taught in many schools in Wisconsin and Illinois for some 25 years. I ran a few CCD programs for a period of time, managed a large book store at Saint  Xavier University and then later on worked with the elderly.

Now, my ministry is a ministry of prayer. The years have gone by fast, and I would say that I have had a happy life.
