The Northeast Community is one of the six Communities that comprise the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas. With a central administrative office in Cumberland, Rhode Island, the Northeast Community unites sisters, associates and companions from Albany, New York; Connecticut; New Hampshire; Portland, Maine; Providence, Rhode Island; and Vermont in the northeastern United States.
Northeast Community sisters, associates and companions minister in the fields of education, healthcare, and social and pastoral services.
You can share in our mission by becoming a sister, associate, Mercy Volunteer Corps member, social justice advocate, by making a donation or supporting one of our life-giving ministries, like Sr. Eileen Boffa’s spiritual retreat ministry for men and women who are homeless.
