Comments

The Gravatar privacy policy is available at: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture may be visible to the public alongside your comment.
Media Files
If you upload images to the Sisters of Mercy website and social media platforms, please avoid including embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract location data from images on these public-facing website platforms.

Donations
The only personal information that we collect from donors, online and offline is voluntarily provided to us. For example, if you opt to donate by “clicking” the “donate” button on our website, we will collect certain personally identifiable information, which may include your name, email address, and postal address.
Regarding processing of donations – whether or not processed through a third-party payment processor – the payment information you provide to us will only be used to process your donation. If you opt to make a recurring donation, then required payment information will be stored to facilitate future donations; otherwise, your payment information will not be stored or used for any other purpose.
Black Baud is our online donation platform. All donation data collected is subject to the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”), and other applicable privacy laws. Non-Personal Information that is collected remains anonymous or non-personally identifiable. All Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is encrypted. Financial information such as banking information or credit card number, name, CVV code or date of expiration, is collected and stored by a third-party payment processor. Inside Blackbaud, data is stored in password-controlled servers with limited access.
When donating, information collected may include:
- Contact and account information such as name, email address, physical address, location data, phone number, and social media information;
- Technical information collected. Such information may include standard web log entries that contain IP address, cookies, page URL and timestamp.
- The Sisters of Mercy has the power to modify and vary any donor direction or restriction in the event they become unnecessary, incapable of fulfillment, or inconsistent with the charitable needs of the Sisters of Mercy.
