Vocation Minister Sister Beth Dempsey was recently appointed to a three-year term to the National Board of the National Religious Vocation Conference (NRVC). Following the announcement of her appointment in July, Beth began her tenure by attending a board meeting in Chicago in September. NRVC works to promote vocations to religious life through advocacy, education and networking opportunities.
“NVRC nurtures a vocational culture rooted in God’s call,” Beth said. “Because of my belief in the viability and vitality of religious life, I hope to contribute to the furthering of that purpose on a national level.”
As a board member, Beth will be part of the team that determines the organization’s goals and objectives, approves the annual budget, and selects the executive committee.
Sister Jenny Wilson, also a vocation minister, serves as an area coordinator for NRVC’s Northeast Region.
