Sister Claudette Schiratti was a Sister of Mercy for 66 years. She was an avid musician, playing piano and organ professionally, mostly in parishes. She was a founding member of NEW EAR and IMAGO DEI. She loved the outdoors in both summer and winter sports, especially the mountains. She delighted in developing musical talent both for the church and professionally. In retirement, she continued to sub in Catholic and Protestant Churches and played services in a synagogue in Kansas City. She enjoyed teaching organ students. She was active in the local Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. She enjoyed volunteering at the new Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City. She returned to her hometown of Omaha after 38 years in the Kansas City area. She was blessed to live among talented and grace-filled women of Mercy.
