Age 95

Sister Jean Carroll was a Sister of Mercy for 75 years. Sister Jean’s time in Mercy was marked by service to the underserved (First House of Mercy in Hartford), founding a Mercy House of Prayer, and preparing sisters for positions as elementary school teachers. Known for her living the Works of Mercy and boundless energy, Sister Jean exemplifies Catherine McAuley’s tenet: “resolve to be good today, but better tomorrow.”
