Age 84
Sister Jolitta was a Sister of Mercy for 65 years. She primarily ministered in secondary education and as a director of pastoral services in the healthcare field, most recently as chaplain at Mercy Memorial Health Center in Ardmore, Oklahoma. In addition, she was known as a dedicated historian of the Mercy Community and ministry life of the Sisters of Mercy, especially throughout her native state of Arkansas.
She was born a farm girl and always cherished creation, especially the gift of the land. She loved anything outdoors, as well as sports, archives and jigsaw puzzles.
Her ring motto was “All for Thee.”
