I grew up in the Philippines, specifically in the southern part of Mindanao in Davao City and Bislig City, and I look back on those years with immense gratitude. Being raised in such a vibrant, close-knit family environment planted the seeds of community and belonging that I carry in my heart to this day.
I felt a profound sense of purpose calling me toward a life of service. The Sisters of Mercy’s dedication to compassion felt like a true ‘coming home’ for my spirit, allowing me to pour my love for others into a life of meaningful, faith-driven action.
It is a joy and a privilege to serve in technical and vocational education. I feel a deep sense of fulfillment when I develop tools and plans that empower my students, knowing that we are building a foundation for their future success together.
I find a deep, restorative peace in creative flow. Whether I am picking up a crochet hook or letting the gentle strings of a guitar settle my mind, these moments of artistic expression are how I truly breathe and recharge my spirit.
