Our facility is located on the beautiful 30-acre campus in the foothills of Auburn which serves as the residence for the Sisters of Mercy and Mercy Center Conference & Retreat Center.
Job Purpose
Responsible for the planning, coordination and facilitation of the religious and sacramental services for the Sisters residing in Auburn Facility. Provides or facilitates spiritual care and support for Sisters living in other facilities in the area. Works with individuals and groups of Sisters to support their spiritual and emotional needs. Also, a member of the staff team who assists the Sisters in their daily life routine

Qualifications
Education, Competencies and Experience
Required
- Certification in NACC or ACPE or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of one-year experience in chaplaincy or related field.
- Ability to cultivate effective working relationships with a broad range of employees and external contacts.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must be organized and have ability to work independently and with a team.
- Capable of displaying strong self-motivation and sound decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must possess a valid State Driver’s License without any moving violations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Willingness to understand and appreciate the traditions, the rituals and culture associated with the Sisters of Mercy, the Catholic Church and Vatican II teaching.
- Experience in chaplaincy or formation in mission/charism of the Sisters of Mercy preferred.
- Prior experience in a healthcare or religious organization preferred.
- Ability and willingness to act as a role model in conduct and appearance.
- Bi-lingual and multi-cultural experiences a plus.
$58,000 Salaried
