JOB TITLE: Program Director

DEPARTMENT: Administration Convent

LOCATION: Mercy Center in Burlingame, CA

REPORTS TO: Executive Director, Mercy Center Burlingame

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

TELECOMMUTE ELIGIBILITY: This position is essential and does not have the option to telecommute.

General Summary:  The Program Director (PD) is responsible for all programmatic oversight and functions of Mercy Center Burlingame (MCB). The services will be provided with a spirit of hospitality and compassion that embodies the charism of the Sisters of Mercy and the Mercy Ministry Corporation and following all Mercy Ministry Corporation policies and procedures.

The Program Director will further the mission of Mercy Center Burlingame by designing, implementing, and evaluating all programs offered, working in concert with the overall vision for the continued ministry of Mercy Center Burlingame, and working with existing staff to market Mercy Center Burlingame programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Competencies and Experience

  • Embrace the mission and values of the Mercy Ministry Corporation and Mercy Center Burlingame.
  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred, in theology or related field, with at least five years of administrative/managerial experience.
  • Proven experience in managing a diverse staff.
  • Strong experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (to include Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel).
  • Excellent financial management skills.
  • Excellent networking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Firm grounding in theology, spiritual direction, or formation work.
  • Possess and utilize good administrative, team building, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate competency and creativity in long-range planning and problem-solving, open to suggestions with the capacity to make independent decisions when needed.
  • Excellent communication, public relations, development, and marketing skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel if needed.
  • Adapts to changing environments with evolving systems and structures including the Mercy Ministry Corporation.
  • Demonstrate personal integrity and commitment to ethical principles.
  • Organizational and time management skills are essential.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at a time.
  • Work as a team member, utilizing a collaborative style of decision-making.
  • Possess excellent written and personal communication skills.
